Documentation Requirements
Parents or guardians must complete three copies of the Unaccompanied Minor Form before travel.
If the journey includes a change of aircraft at any point, two sets of forms will be required—one for each leg of the journey.
What We Do for Unaccompanied Minors
Emergency exit row seats will not be allocated to unaccompanied minors.
The child will be seated next to an adult passenger (18 years or older), if possible.
Unaccompanied minors are typically pre-boarded, and our Cabin Crew In-Charge (CCIC) will take responsibility for the child onboard.
The CCIC will sign and return one copy of the form and retain the other two.
Upon arrival:
The CCIC will hand over the child and their travel documents to our ground staff.
Ground staff will sign and return one copy of the form to the CCIC.
In the event of a flight diversion requiring an overnight stay:
A female airline staff member will accompany the child at the hotel.
The parent or guardian at the origin will be promptly informed.
At the destination:
Our customer service agent will release the child to the authorized custodian only after verifying a valid photo ID.
The custodian must sign the final copy of the form, which will be retained by the station for six months.
Travel Tips for Unaccompanied Minors
Ensure valid photo identification is available for the child, parent(s)/guardian, and custodian at check-in.
Prepare your child by explaining basic airport procedures such as check-in and security checks.
Pack essential items in the child’s hand baggage to ensure a comfortable journey.
The parent or guardian must remain reachable by phone during the entire journey.
Write down important contact numbers the child may need in case of an emergency.
Be aware that flight schedules may change. Keep track of your child’s flight status via our mobile app.
The custodian receiving the child should inform the parent/guardian at the origin once the child has been picked up.
If possible, the parent or guardian should stay at the airport until the flight departs.
Make sure you and the receiving guardian have the complete flight itinerary.
